Famous Faces From Wisconsin: Escape Artist
**Box clues changed 10/09 Many thanks to TJ_Mich for repairs and for moving the Escape Artist to a slightly new location.**
Leapin' Lizards
Go north of Appleton to the park on Broadway Drive. Go left. At the T go Right passing the swim area. The road curves to the right. Go left past a small shelter and then park by the large shelter.
From the metal slide, look to your left for a tree that has been cut down, go to the stump. Facing the shelter, look to your left and you will see a path across the road. Go to the path, it is marked with a post sign that says right turn and an arrow, go down path past the fence and open stump on the left.- follow path into the clearing.
In clearing you will see a white bucket on a post and 3 trails... follow the path on the right. Go up small incline to another clearing, you will see a sign with brown arrow saying turn right. Do not turn right, instead go past bench on left and straight thru clearing.
Up another small hill to a sign about "Bitternut Hickory”. Continue on main path, you will intersect another path, go right. At T turn left headed downhill where you’ll immediately come to a Y. Follow your heart and choose the correct path. Continue on your way over a small bridge. “Remember” to ignore the path on the right. Spy the bridge in the distance, but don’t head toward it. Continue on your way following the “right turn”. Magicians never let their secrets out in the open—so instead climb upwards on a well covered path. Follow this as it curves to the right and follows the edge of the woods. Before the Escape Artist could be “stripped” of his magical secrets, he spotted a large sprawling beech to the right of the trail. He ran downhill toward the tree and “POOF” disappeared in the pile of small logs immediately behind it. If you begin to go downhill, you’ve gone too far. Please replace box carefully to it proper hiding spot so Harry Houdini, the Escape Artist doesn’t disappear!
Good luck!
