**** Please read all clues before starting. The last clue can also be found first if you want. That is the only one that contains a logbook and ink pad, so please bring your own ink for the other boxes (black works well). The other three boxes aren't really boxes - they are jars with local dirt and leaf litter glues to the top. They will be hard to find, so keep your eyes open!****

UPDATE: 6/2011: This was sent to me by a finder:
Box #1 is now at the SECOND marker on the right.
Box #3 no longer has the pyramid that you built.

This series can be found in the Sylvan Glen Preserve, also home to the old Mohegan Rock Quarry. The preserve is located at the end of Morris Lane, off of Lexington Avenue in Mohegan Lake.

Before entering the preserve, check out the map on the wooden board to help you understand the trails you will be going on. Enter at the white trail. Walk pass a lake on your right, and then an outdoor classroom on your left. At the "T" junction, make a left and continue on the white trail (to get to the logbook box, you'd make a right instead). The white trail starts to go uphill. Look out - the rocks on the left have eyes and are watching you! You will come to a junction where the yellow trail begins on your left. Turn onto the yellow trail. At the first tree that has one yellow marker on it, on your right, stop. Turn left and you will see a rock that looks like it has been split in half. One half has a tree growing against it. In the smaller hollow near the trees roots, is box #1. It is covered with leaf litter, and the top is flush with the ground.

Continue on the yellow trail. You will pass a rock wall on your left, and walk through a HUGE boulder field. You will come to a junction where the red trail begins on your left. Where the two trails meet, look for a "V" tree next to a big rock. In the hollow under the rock overhang next to the tree is Box #2. There is a flat rock on top of it, and again, this one is also camouflaged to look like the ground.

Continue on the yellow trail. The trail will start to turn and go downhill. Eventually you will see a stream on the left. Where the stream is closest to the trail (about 10 feet away) will be a path leading to the stream. Take this path. When you're almost at the stream, you will see two trees on your right that are almost growing on top of one another. One has a black hollowed out knot in it. If you are facing this hollow, next to that tree on the right you will see a spotted rock under a couple of ferns. Next to this spotted rock is a small rock pyramid that we made. Next to the rock pyramid is a flat rock. Buried under the flat rock in the leaves is Box #3.

Continue on the yellow trail until it meets up with the white trail again. Make a right onto the white trail. The gas pipeline will be on your left. Pass by the junction where you turned on to begin the yellow trail, and staying on the white trail head back towards the parking lot. You will come back to that first main junction on the white trail. If you turn right you will head to the parking lot. To continue on to Box #4, stay straight. You will come to a big rock in the middle of the trail. At the big rock, look for the stone wall in the woods at your right. About 8 big steps into the woods, the rock wall will start. Under the first rock of the wall, is Box #4. In this box is the only logbook for this series. After logging in, go back the way you came and make a left to get back to the parking lot.
