**** 6/22/2010 - REPAIRS NEEDED! We just found out that the logbook is in disrepair and we need to get out there to replace it. Please check back in about a week for the update. Sorry for the inconvenience!****

We decided to plant our first LB in a park we'd driven by, but never stopped at. While I thought the playground equipment was somewhat run down, my boys didn't seem to notice or mind. The rest of this small park is well-kept. There is a large field, perfect for a game of catch or perhaps frisbee golf. This is a great place to let the dogs run for a bit and has picturesque spots especially, I suspect, in the fall. There is what appears to be a small mountain in the background that is probably brilliant when the leaves turn.

To get here from the North, take 9W South into Ravena. Proceed to the 2nd traffic light.
You will see a Getty station and a Ford dealership on your left.
On your right will be a Stewart's followed by a Rite Aid.
From this junction, proceed for 1.5 miles.
Take a left onto New Baltimore Road.
Travel for 1 mile.
On your left you will see Joseph Wyche, Sr Memorial Park.
Pull in and park.

From the South:
Take 9W North into Coxsackie.
9W intersects with the NYS Thruway at exit 21B, right outside Coxsackie (this is considered West Coxsackie and/or New Baltimore).
For a reference point, there is a Sunoco station very near to this intersection.
From either the Sunoco or from the intersection itself, continue North on 9W for approximately 4.1 miles.
Take a right onto New Baltimore road.
Travel for 1 mile.
On your left you will see Joseph Wyche, Sr Memorial Park.
Pull in and park.

Your search continues at the basketball court.
From the left hoop, facing the woods, walk about 28 steps to the tree with the largest trunk.
From here, walk about 15 steps into the woods to the stone wall.
To your left are 3 bifurcated trees standing closely in single file.
Between the 2nd and 3rd trees, under some rocks and bark is your reward for Monkeying Around.
