Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
Time: 30 minutes
Bring: Please wear long pants to avoid poison oak on some of the overgrown part of the trail. You'll also need a compass.
Notes: This area is somewhat tamed by human activity, but we saw a great deal of beautiful wildlife while placing the box! The first lightning-struck tree was home to a gorgeous large bird.

Clues:
1) Go to the entrance of Hafer Park in Edmond, OK, at the intersection of 9th & Bryant.
2) Drive in to the park, taking the road on the right, until you come to the parking by the bouldering wall and Kid's fishing pond (you can feed the ducks here, too!).
3) From here, you'll take the paved multi-purpose trail into the woods. Continue on this trail until you reach the 1 mile marker.
4) Standing on the paved path parallel with the mile marker, continue to an electric box at 208°. You'll recognize it's the correct one by the two black hearts painted on it.
5) Take 6 paces west to an overgrown path on the left, and take this trail.
6) After about 50 paces you'll see the top of the first lightning-struck tree at 120°. Continue on the trail towards the tree until you can see most of it.
7) From this bend in the path (a small clearning), you'll see the top of a 2nd lightning-struck tree at 140°.
8) Walk towards this tree, stopping a few paces before a rotting log on the ground. Watch out for barbed wire in front of this log! (Don't worry, it is easily avoidable.)
9) The box is hidden under a large strip of bark on the south side of the fallen tree (the rotting log). Please stamp and sign in, and then make sure everything is tightly sealed before re-hiding it!

We've carved a double-lighting tree stamp for this box. Enjoy, and please message when found!
