***Unknown status, have not heard about this box in a while.

Level of Difficulty: steady climb, but last .2 mile is steep
Time: 1.4 miles round trip
Elevation: 700 Ft.

Directions:

Fallen Foliage is planted at Echo Cliff on Panther Mountain in Piseco. Take Rte. 10 north to the end and turn left onto Rte. 8. Go 2.9 miles and turn right onto Old Piseco Rd. Travel 2.5 miles to a pull over/parking area on the right. Across the road is a very small sign that says “Trailhead to Panther Mountain” on it. PLEASE NOTE: You can turn onto Old Piseco Rd. from Rte. 8 at two different places. These directions will be inaccurate if you enter from the wrong end.

** I put this as kid friendly because there was a lot of children on the trail. However, children under 5 may have a difficult time with the last .2 mile.

*** You will need your own ink pad and a pen.

Clue:

Take the trail to the top and locate a three foot medium stump. Standing next to the stump, walk down the trail at 53 degrees to a four trunked tree on the right. From this tree, take a reading of 100 degrees and go 10 paces to a low “V” split tree. In a hole created by its roots is Fallen Foliage, covered by bark and leaves.

Enjoy the LB and the view!
