Driving north from Fort Klamath towards the previous site for Mount Mazuma, look for the turn off to the "little orphan's" falls picnic area (500 feet). Park at the slight pullout on the east side of the road, near the overlook to the falls. Caution - No Retaining Wall!!
From the nearby picnic table, carefully cross the road at 220 degrees to a wide dirt path. Walk ahead on that path for 40 steps to a lodgepole pine tree with a dark scar on its trunk. Look behind and beneath for the Bedraggled Builder.
