This box celebrates the mysteries of the woods in the Rexford region of Clifton Park. My fellow box planter, Fairy Princess, had "heard rumors that there are fairies in these parts." She often senses fairies outside her bedroom window just as she is falling asleep, and believes that these fairies must reside in these magical woods.

To find the Forest Fairy, find the walking/bicycling path that runs to one of highest points in Rexford. There are three paths that converge near the top of this hill in the triangle of land between Miller Road, Fairhill Road and the newly created Addison Way. At the top of this Hill find a light blue water tower. This water tower, installed in 2002, contains 1.5 Million gallons of water, servicing the western regions of Clifton Park, including Rexford.

Right near this water tower, find a dead tree with no limbs, but an array of woodpecker holes. Look directly across the walking path to find some stones and a three-foot log. The Forest Fairy is rumored to be hiding inside this hollow log. This area is well-traveled, so be certain to cover the box well.

This is our first plant; please drop a note to let us know if you met the Forest Fairy!
