History
Tierrasanta, Spanish for "holy land," is also dubbed “The Island in the Hills”. Tierrasanta was originally part of the Mission San Diego de Alcalá mission ranch, which was active during the late 1700s and 1800s. The U.S. military purchased the land in 1941 as Camp Elliot, a Marine Corps training facility. In 1961 the area was declared surplus and sold. Tierrasanta was founded in 1971 and by the year 2000 had reached a population of 30,187 (Zip 92124). It was one of the first master planned communities in San Diego.

Clues

At Antigua and Amaro is the top of a path.
For this treasure you will need to do a little bit of math.

Partway down there is a sign about ordnance you may find,
But although this box is camo’d, it is not the threatening kind.

Take the fork of nine o’clock and then on past some pepper trees.
Make sure no muggles see you when you find this letterbox, please.

At the next fork, take a left. Pass a culvert and some palms,
Being careful and alert for rattlesnakes and antique bombs.

Then you’ll have four choices: two left, one right, one straight.
The leftmost leads to where I lived ‘til 1988.

I lived on that street, Bravo Court, from when I was just two,
‘Til I moved out my sophomore year at great SDSU.

Well anyway, go straight from there. It’s not much farther now.
Then find a certain number – this problem will tell you how:

Two score times the days in a week plus the first prime number.

To the north of there, about twelve feet, a eucalyptus stands.
Look in the notch under some leaves. Just move them with your hands.

The stamp I made for this one is a symbol of this place,
Built on what was sort of like a military base.

Growing up, I often heard Blue Angels overhead
But then grew up and moved Midwest, to St. Louis instead.

This box was placed in memory of my high school nearby.
A score has past since back when a Conquistador was I.

Rehide it with care using leaves and bark
Attract no attention and leave not a mark.

When you return, log your find on the ‘net
The author will be happy to know, you can bet.

Math hint: the first prime number is also the integer of pi less one.

9/1/2020 Update - reported to be on the ground instead of in the notch. If it will still fit in the notch, please put it back there. Or at least cover with a rock. Thank you!
