Moss Ledge is located in Big Cottonwood Canyon. To reach Big Cottonwood Canyon from Salt Lake City, take I-215 to the 6200 South "Canyons" exit and then continue east on U-152, following signs to Solitude and Brighton. Moss Ledge will be on the left hand side about 5 miles in from the beginning of the canyon. It is a picnic area, and there is a five dollar fee per car. It is well worth the five dollars because the area is beautiful with waterfalls and picnic tables and fire pits. Park near the Moss Ledge sign. Go up the steps and turn left. Follow the railing until you come to a bridge. Before you walk across the bridge, look down to the left, and you will see a hole filled with large rocks. Lift a few of the smaller rocks off the top of the pile. You should see the letterbox. Please email us and let us know how it is doing. This is the first letterbox we have placed. Please replace the letterbox and rocks carefully. Thanks. Remember to Bring a Picnic Lunch.
