The old time church socials are where a person can find the best food around. This site was the site of an
old Methodist church which I am sure had many socials for people to gather. Can y ou imagine how good some of their home made chili was? MMM...sounds so good

To the Cemetery: Make your way to Honey Grove and then take 34 S towards Ladonia. There will be a historical marker sign at the turnoff for McCraw’s Chapel Cemetery pointing to the right. This will be CR 3460. It is a bumpy rock road for a little way and then it turns into a smoother dirt road. Continue on this road until you must go either right or left. Go to the left and almost immediately you will see the cemetery. Park near the historical marker which is near the road.

To the Box: After you have read the marker, look to your right and you will see a big bushy tree. Walk to
that tree. Once you are at the tree, you will realize that it is actually a large dead stump with several trees
growing around it. The chili is cooking on the side closest to the cemetery of the dead stump under old
bark.
