This box was placed as a dedication to my wife. Once she found it, clues went out to mid-MO boxers that asked for it for 1 month. Now, clues are here for everyone.
This letterbox is in a very busy place, so use the utmost of caution. It has been placed in it’s location by permission, but please use extreme discretion while searching.

You will use 2 different ciphers to determine the location of Well Read.
The first cipher is a keyword shift cipher. This will tell you where you will begin your journey. Here is a common explanation of how to solve the code.
A Key Word Shift Cipher uses, a key word, such as Frank. The key word secretly hides the solution to breaking the cipher text. Each letter of 'Frank' represents a number. It does so by each letter representing the order in which it appears in the alphabet. In the context of this word, 'F' appears second, 'R' fifth, 'A' first and so on. By finding the order in which the letters appear in the alphabet, you find a series of numbers. In this case, 'Frank' becomes 25143. Now that you have the number and the encrypted clue (cipher text) you're able to decode the clue. Do this by placing the number sequence over the code. Subtract the number from the letter by counting letters backwards. For instance if the code is HWBRN you'd go back two letters from H to get F. W goes back five places to find R. B moves back one to A and so on and so forth. Write the numbers out above the code skipping all spaces, but keeping the sequence of the numbers. Tricky, eh? This type of code is referred to as 'polyalphabetic' because the same letter in the cipher text could be several different letters in the plain text, that is, when it is decoded. Being polyalphabetic makes an encryption extremely difficult to crack.
Your clue for this key word is as follows: What is something you can read, make up, tell, walk up or down, and tall buildings have many of? (Use the singular word.)
On to the cipher.

Your next set of clues uses an Ancient Cipher Square.
To create an ancient cipher square, create a 7X7 grid. Leave the top left corner blank. Fill in the first row and the first column with numbers 1-6. Beginning in box 1.1, fill in the remaining boxes with the letters A-Z then the numbers 0-9, IN THAT ORDER in a spiral fashion until you use the last box near the center of the grid. Each letter of number in the cipher is thus represented by a two-digit code: row number followed by column number.
For example: A=11, N=63, 2=53.

Here you go:

There are easier ways to find this box once deciphered, although not as fun. This way, if something you need is missing you can still find the box.

Again, please be prudent in your search and re-hidation. Enjoy.
