This is the first of the Bears In The Woods Letterbox Series.
Location: Off Routes 135 and 128/I-95 in Dedham, Massachusetts.

Site Description
Wilson Mountain is a rocky, woodland reservation with the prominent tree covered Wilson Mountain at its center. It contains woodland trails and carriage paths, streams, rock out-croppings and boulders, a shallow rock cave or shelter, and one open wildflower meadow. There are no structures on the site except for one lone stone chimney and the crumbling remains of a log cabin surrounding it. The property provides panoramic views of Boston and the Blue Hills and is the largest remaining piece of open space in Dedham.

Directions From 128/I-95 take exit 17, Route 135. Head towards Dedham
Parking lot 1/2 mile on right.

Clues This is an easy 1-1/2 hour hike. This letterbox was placed by Brittany Ames, age 6.

At the next trail split, continue along the green dot trail to the left.

At the next trail intersection, there is a large pine tree containing a green dot.
The letterbox is located in a small stone crevasse 70 paces uphill due north-east from the trail side of this pine. It's hiding place is protected by two stones.
Once you have stamped in, rehide the box.
You can return the way you came, or continue along the green dot trail to the parking lot.
