Tennis Turtle

BOX IS MISSING FOR SECOND TIME -- WILL BE REPLACING IT IN A BETTER LOCATION -- STILL LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT SPOT -- WATCH FOR UPDATE SOON!

[Very easy—family friendly]

Go to Dryden Park in Geneva, at the corner of Western Avenue and Cheever Drive near the railroad tracks, across the street from Sunset Pool. [The website for Geneva Park District has specific directions if you’re not sure how to get there.] Park on Cheever Drive near the playground, where you start.

Step your way to the Turtle. He has always loved tennis and he wants to get closer and play a match someday.
Glide your way to the clock. Move the hands to 3:00.
Slide down and head to the hut. Take a seat and you may be able to watch a train go by.
Stroll to the place where you can shoot hoops.
Face North towards the train tracks and head to a big tree. Skip around it 3 times.
Now head West and see if you can catch a match. Meander among the mini-forest of 11 trees.
(Watch your head for low branches!)
When you get out of the forest, turn left and go South.
Find a spot where you can rest your feet for a minute and watch a match.
Continue South to where the court ends, and then follow the 5 trees.
At the 5th tree, turn right. Near the large bush, look for a place to bow to Perry.
The Tennis Turtle is hiding UNDER the large brown "rock". Lift it up and you will find him under there. He likes to sneak out from under his "rock" when no one is looking and watch the people playing tennis!

[Please be discreet when stamping; this park is very popular with children and tennis players, bikers, joggers, etc. and the box has been taken once before in 2007. There is a green inkpad available, but bring your own just in case it has dried out.]
