This letterbox is placed at the Madison Town Park, off of Rt. 20 in Madison NY. Bring your own ink pad, stamp and pen please. Your age will show if you remember this park as, an ice block gathering place, a roller skating rink, a teen hangout, a park under construction, or as it is now a beautiful park:)
Grammy T from Tennessee
Coming all the way, just for me to see!
Driving in her car,
Flying in a plane,
Grammy T from Tennessee!
This letterbox is for all grandparents and grandchildren who live a distance apart, It represents the joy of spending time with each other.
In the little town of Madison on Rt. 20, find the school. It is a brick building that sets back from the road with a big bowl shaped dip in front of it.
Pull in the schools left driveway. Drive past the school on the driveway and continue past the athletic fields. Just past the athletic fields you will see the Madison Town Park gate.
Drive down the wooded hill. As soon as the trees on your left stop, pull over facing the lake.
Look out your rear view mirror and you should see a broken, rusty, old gaurdrail. Follow the old gaurdrail past the spider, stump chair. Continue to the end of it. You will see a large rock on the hill. Look behind the last standing part of the gaurdrail to find your letterbox.
