Estimated Time: 5-10 minutes once you're on the island
Terrain: Typical Lake George island trails. OK for kids.
As of 10/10/10 letterbox still in good shape.
This island is the northernmost island of the Hundred Island Group.
It has some of the most requested camping sites on the lake.
In the rock at the edge of the water is a large hole known as an “Indian kettle”.
From above, this island resembles a large fork lying in the lake.
Can you guess which island the letterbox is on?
Once you find the island, find the Indian kettle. Due east of the Indian kettle is a cedar tree leaning westward over the water. The letterbox is at the base of this cedar tree under some rocks.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN INK PAD.
