Level of Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: quick, only .1 mile round-trip
Directions:
One of our favorite past times while attending SUNY Potsdam was spent on the Raquette River. In honor of our Sunday afternoons…
Take Rte. 56 past SUNY Potsdam towards Colton. Just past the college, turn right onto Akwesasne Dr. Go to the end and park in the lot.
**This is a micro-box and you will need your own ink pad and a pen.
Clues:
From the metal gate, go 230 degrees across the field to a foot path that runs along the river. Go 16 paces down the path to your first medium size tree on your left. Turn to your left and go 5 paces into the woods to some big flat mossy rocks. In front of the 1st one, in its crevasse, under some twigs and bark is A Sunday Afternoon.
Enjoy!
