In Peterborough, take Old Jaffrey Road to Freemont Field. This is a great palce to bring your kids or dog; Sowelu loved it here. (Bring some binoculars - this is a bird sanctuary!)
Pull off and park at the dirt road entrance opposite the "Jaffrey Left" sign. Enter the field by the mowed path. Feel free to "log in" at the green visitor's mailbox. Follow the path through the field. You will walk over a flat stone bridge that crosses your path. Continue on the path. You will pass "Picnic Rock" on your right. The path will lead you into a wooded area. Before the clearing, you will see a pile of large rocks on your left. Look under the big mushroom-top rock, and there you will find Sowelu's Box.
