This box was planted in celebration of my son Corey's 11th birthday. He found the spot, and carved the stamp. If you find it, be sure to let us know!
This box is located in the Fisheries and Wildlife property off of 135 near the Westborough/Northborough line. This property is located directly accross from Davis Road. Hunting is allowed on this property except on Sundays, so plan this to be a Sunday hike. Park beside the orange barrier (cars may be on the other side of this barrier and will want to exit, so do not block the gate) and begin your walk. Take the wide path past the pond on your right. There is A LOT of poison ivy along the side of the path. Go up the hill and past the "curious" tree with many branches, so named by Corey, on the right. At the fork, head to your right toward Chauncy. As you begin to enter the woods, take the small trail on your left. The tree at the beginning of the path has 4 trunks. Continue to the pond on both sides of the path. Look to the left and locate a lone birch tree. Facing the tree, take the small path toward the pond and look for the tree that over hangs the pond. About 4 feet in front of that tree is a ledge like rock. Search under to find the box. Please cover with some small stones so the box is not easily visible.
