From the town of Dinosaur, travel east on U. S. Highway 40 for about 2 miles. Turn left (north) on Harpers Corner Road (and Harpers Corner Auto Tour). The Canyon Area Visitor Center is at this intersection. Drive about 2.9 miles and park on the left side of the road at the intersection with a dirt road. This is County Road 161 (look left (west) and up the hill and you will see the blue county road sign). There is also an Auto Tour 4 sign at this intersection.

Walk west up the dirt road and past the gate. You are now on BLM land. Continue up the road a short distance and you will see on the right edge of the road a brown BLM bike route (Rangely) fiberglass stake sign. From that stake, go at about 262 degrees (from mag. north) for about 50 steps to 2 small dead trees prone on the ground. The box is at the root end of the larger tree under some rocks and wood debris.

Please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag), and put all of it INSIDE the box. Please rehide the box well under the rocks and covered with some plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.

I will not be able to check on this box very often; so, please let me know if you find it. Also, let me know if it is missing so that I can delete the clues:
