Congratulations to Librarygal, first finder!

This is my second in a series celebrating children's literature. This box includes a handcarved stamp, a handmade book (thanks to my sister, Knit Wit of Longmont Colorado), and a prize to reward the box's first finder.

Before you go out to look for this box, do a little research and find out what year the illustrated book that begins with "The Night Max wore his wolf suit..." was published. This illustrated children's book was enormously controversial, but has now become one of the most beloved of children everywhere. (a very unhelpful hint: it was the same year one Indiana knitting letterboxer was born...).

From 37, turn off on Pine and follow the signs to the Morgan Monroe State Forest. Pine will dead-end and you will turn right on Old State Road 37. After passing a mailbox on the right side of the street, you will pass two warning poles with orange caps on the left side of the street, and then one all-orange pole on the left. Immediately after that pole, to the left is a gravel/dirt parking spot that could possibly fit 4 cars. There is a trail to the South of the parking lot. Multiply the last two digits of the book's publication date by half of the number of cars that might fit in the lot, and then walk that many steps until you come to a fallen tree in the path. To the right, up under the tree you will find your treasure.

Please write me if you would like to have a list of 100+ books to read to your child before he leaves for college.
