The "Hat" is the fourth letterbox from the Ogdensburg Maple City Trail.
Begin at the Ogdensburg City Boat Launch Ramp. Look across the St. Lawrence River and find Fort Wellington in Canada. Long Tom is pointing right at it! Aim Long Tom at the Marina Gazebo. General Curtis' hat (stamp) lies in between that distance. (It is NOT along the rocky shore)
Don't forget to read the Maple City Trail plaques in this area and over General Curtis' right shoulder you'll find information on the Ogdensburg Declaration.
(From the "Shield" stamp turn towards the river and walk down the remainder of State Street. Observe the Maple City Trail sign at the end. Turn left onto Riverside Ave. Walk past the new community center until you get to the boat launch. Continue following the clues above.)
