The third historical letterbox from the Ogdensburg Maple City Trail is the "Shield".
To find the "Shield" follow State Street in Ogdensburg to the St. Lawrence River. Find an outdoor stage. Stand on the steps of the stage, turn and walk southwest to the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument. (Be sure to read about it in the letterbox.) You will find the "Shield" stamp by staying on this property and finding a white tool shed.
(If you are already at the "Book" stamp, turn Northwest and walk to the soldiers and sailors monument and then follow the rest of the clue above.)
