This box is placed by J.C at Sander's Preserve in Glenville. When you come to my box be shure to press my stamp in my stamp pad hard. If you don't the ink might not come off.
***********************************************************
Directions- Westbound: Coming from Schenectady get on Route 5 and take a left on Gower road. Follow road to the end and take a left on Sander's road. The preserve will be on the left.
***********************************************************
Park in the parking area at the preserve. Be shure to look at the interesting facts on the preserve board and sign in at the INFO BOARD and grab a map if any are available. Walk past two picnic tables and you will come to the trailhead. Look at your map and notice that you will be entering area 2. (You dont need to know that but I thought I would tell you anyway!). Start at the trailhead and walk down and you will pass wood in the ground that looks like stairs. Go down a little ways and you come to two trees on your right labled Sugar Maple and White Ash. Look one tree down and you will see a Caution- Housing Area sign. From there look to your left and you will come to see the trail forks off path. Follow the trail until you come to a little creek with water and rocks. You will also see a yellow ribbon around a skinny tree. Stop there and turn around. Take 13 Paces back and look up. You will see a red and white diamond. From there bear left and count 7 paces or steps. Step 7 stepping on the moss covered log. Look down and you will see strips of bark. Uncover to find the prize you have been looking for all along.
Please hide the box back where it was and cover it with bark good so it cant be seen to a passer by.
Thank You and Happy Hunting!
