This letter box replaces the one formerly know as Broken Cherry Tree. The name refers to the stamp enclosed in the box NOT the location.
Letterbox can be found in Jimmy Nash City Park. First find Shelterhouse #9. Facing the shelterhouse from gravel parking area look at about 10 o'clock and you will see a bent a tree with a y shape. Beyond that you'll see a bent cherry tree. The path is behind that tree and slightly to the right. Go 29 paces on the trail to another trail that leads to your left. Go 12 paces and turn right. Go 42 paces and you'll find a well-hidden letterbox under a fallen tree. There are briars there so be careful.
If you follow the last trail all the way to the end, you'll discover the "Broken Cherry Tree." The letterbox is NOT there!
Congrats to Purl Girl for First To Find the Broken Cherry Tree letterbox! Who will be first to find Up, up and away?
