Go to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum located across from 174 angola road (muser drive)Cornwall,ny 12518 (845)-534-5506
After parking, Go to education center, pass between the education center and garage and look for a teal blue flag(if it is past october just look for begining of trail, the flags my be taken down). Start at teal blue flag(Stowell Trail). Go into trail winding through tall grass. If summer, enjoy milkweed and Monarch butterflies left and right of you. proceed through stone wall, under trees and into the next field. When you come to trail post "M" bear left. Go through another stone wall, you will see a yellow flag and turn left into the forest. Continue on light blue trail. As you walk, look on the ground for deer and other animal tracks. Cross bridge, after yellow post take a left up the stone steps. Then bear right continuing on blue trail. Continue to cross 2 more bridges. At top of hill take left onto yellow trail. After you cross Wet or Dry stream bed the yellow trail turns right up the hill. Stop. Follow the stream bed DOWN the hill for about 100 feet and you will find some sleeping giants.
