Heavenly Clown Set
Carved and placed by LVLYF and Growly.
THE BOX WAS REPLACED ON 09/30/2007.
Fumbelina is a very scattered clown and it is your job today to help her get back together.
Location: Spring Valley Nature Center in Schaumburg. This nature center is located on Schaumburg Road between Meacham Road and Plum Grove Road. The grounds and trails are open 8AM-8PM April-Oct. and 8AM-5PM Nov.-March.
Note: These stamps used to be planted in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, but had to be moved because of extenuating circumstances.
The Vera Meineke Nature Center near the parking lot has restrooms, a water fountain, and a drink machine.
Pick up a Trail Map from the kiosk near the parking lot.
Pick a trail and walk to the Illinois Heritage Grove. From post #7, walk south onto the boardwalk. You will soon come to a bench. Face the bench. At eleven o’clock, walk 20 strides into the brush/weeds/fallen trees. There are several old, moldy, downed trees in this area. (These trees may not be visible in the spring/summer.)
Your prize is hidden in the first downed tree you come across that is lying lengthwise.
Be discreet. This is a heavily populated walking area.
Color-coordinated markers are located in the box. Use the guide in the box to see placement of each stamp.
