Cameron Park is one of Texas' largest municipal parks and an oudoor lover's dream. It sits right on the Brazos River and has something for everyone. There are an extensive number of hiking and biking trails, a bridle path for riding horses, playgrounds, 2 disc golf courses, sand volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, easy-access boat ramps and beautiful wild flowers.

You will be visiting Miss Nellie's Pretty Place to retrive this stamp. Take a picnic lunch with you and you won't be disappointed with this quaint little spot.

From I-35 take the University Parks Drive exit and go West on University Parks Drive. You will pass several hotels, restaurants and businesses. (At the time of this writing there was construction in front of the Hilton and you will have to go around it and pick up University Parks Dr. on the other side.) You will be driving parallel to the Brazos River. This will take you into Cameron Park. Go past the Pecan Bottoms spray park and under the bridge. Turn right onto Sturgis and stay on Sturgis for about 2 blocks. Miss Nellie's Pretty Place will be on your left. Park in the parking lot on your left. Walk across the street to the fountain. From here look across the meadow. You should see 2 greenhouses in the distance. Take one of the paths and make your way to the right side of the greenhouses. Once here you should see a path that goes into the woods. Follow this path. Go over the small bridge and turn right when you get to the dead end. You will see the picnic site just ahead. The letterbox is hidden on the backside (SE corner) under the pavillon with a white rock covering the hole. It's a tight fit so make sure and replace it well. Enjoy your picnic.
