Behind his perch we'll start this clue,

Oh say, can you see
By the dawn's early light,
That the banner is waving
Just to your right?
With your back to the pole,
And no further adieu,
Find the left base
Then with your shoe,
Start marching and counting
Till you reach "42".
A sharp turn to the left,
Now your back's to the wet,
Seven paces more,
And you can bet,
You'll find Waterway Pleasure
Waiting for you
'Neath the right bottom stair
In one arm-length,
