From the McDonald's in downtown Hiawassee go 1 mile west on SR 76, past the long bridge over Lake Chatuge to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Go right into the Fairgrounds (if you pass the two baseball fields you've gone too far) and go up to the top of the parking lot on the right as you come in the Fairground driveway. The Hamilton Rhododendron Garden is at the top of the hill and over the other side down to the Lake. Go into the Garden and find the fake waterwheel and observation platform. Look straight down and find the walkway below the waterwheel that is shaped like a shallow "V." Go down to the walkway and look up underneath the deck of the walkway at the support post that is at the center of the "V" where it makes the turn (you will be off the walkway, in front of it, looking up). The box is on the support beam underneath the walkway that holds up the deck right near that center support post. Good luck! Please e-mail us if the stamp or log is missing! The best time to visit the Garden is Easter time because of all the blooms, but it's pretty all the time. John & Jill.
