CLUES: Find the Wharf near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Travel UP the coast along West Cliff Drive about 1 mile. You will come to Parking lots 'C' or 'D' on the right hand side of the road. Choose one to park in and find the restrooms in between the lots. (If you reach the lighthouse/surf museum you have gone too far).From the NW corner of the restrooms travel along the trail approximately 46 paces (92 steps). Look left (towards the ocean) and you will see a Cypress Snag that is approximatley 30 feet tall and 26" in diamter at breast height (DBH). At the base of this snag is what you are looking for.
