This letterbox is associated with a cache at Geocaching.com. This park is in honor of former Festus Mayor Kathy Jokerst who died in a automobile accident. This beautiful park is serviced and maintained by the Festus Parks Department.

To find this box drive east on highway A from I-55. Turn left at Mill Street (Eagle bank is on the corner.

You will take the first left here (almost immediately after the A/Mill intersection.

Take the first right (only a block down.)

Drive up the hill until all parking spaces on your right are gone. Keep in mind you are in a residential area. Please drive slowly!

This park is very popular with kids. The skate park used to be a tennis court, but now attracts quite a few. Bring a basketball along if you feel like shootin' hoops. Bring a frisbee if you'd fancy a game of disc golf.

The best time to access this letterbox is in foul weather or early morning. The park is open at 7 AM.

Look down the park towards the brook that runs through it. This is your eastern and northern barrier. Do not walk any furhter east or north of the brook.

Near your car you will see a large rock placed in memory of Mayor Jokerst. This is your southern most point. Do not walk south (in the direction of the skate park) any further than this rock.

The road and yard are the western most boundaries of your search zone. You are looking for a tree! Just check the north base of each tree until you find the one nestled in overgrowth. Inside this overgrown is a hole that huddles up under the tree.

Reach carefully into this hole for a small box 3 inches long, 2 inches wide and less than 1 inch deep. It is a former mint box. It has been covered in green tape. It is in a plastic ziploc bag. This is the letterbox.

Please sign the logbook. You will need a stamp pad of your own because this letterbox is too small to hold a stamp pad, but it does contain a carved eraser stamp.

If you can take a digital picture of yourself next to the memorial, you can mark your visit on WayMarking.com.

Thanks a lot for visiting! I hope you enjoyed our park!
