Welcome to the "Good Eats" series. Besides letterboxing, we enjoy going out to eat at the many quality local restaurants in the Triple Series area. This series will highlight some of our favorite places to stop and get a bite to eat. This is an ongoing series, so more boxes will be added in the future.
One of the benefits to living close to a university is the availability of late night munchies. BG's is a pizza/wing/calzone place that not only serves big and awesome food, but actually stays open until 3 am some nights to take care of the late night cravings of college students and letterboxers in the area. Nothing tastes as good as a pepperoni and mushroom pizza at 2 in the morning.
Directions to BG's
Take Rt. 434 in Vestal.
Turn at the light on Bunn Hill Road, in between the BU Campus and Denny's
There will be a small plaza on your right just past Denny's. Pull into the parking lot.
Directions to the GE - BG's Letterbox
1. After parking, locate the northwest end of the plaza and walk to that end.
2. As you peer around the corner of the building, you should see a red border. Walk to the northern end of the border.
3. At the very end of the border is a place where cylinders of wood and metal meet. At the base of these cylinders, covered conspicuously by some rocks, is BG's.
This is in a VERY exposed location - please be very discreet when finding, and cover it up well when you leave. It has the potential to be found pretty easily if care isn't taken in rehiding it. It's also a very busy location, no matter what time you go so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be discreet when finding and hiding.
