This box had gone missing and has now been recarved and replanted thanks to my friend Azroadie. It's in a totally different location than it originally was. Let's hope it doesn't go missing again.
Thanks again Jack

Trail difficulty: easy; however, you walk on a soft dirt trail
Walking distance: about 0.2 mile one way

This letterbox is in Christopher Columbus Park in the northwest part of Tucson. From I-10, take exit 252 and drive west on El Camino del Cerro. Turn left (south) on Silverbell Road. Turn left (east) into Columbus Park. Continue straight and park in the most northern parking lot.

From the north end of the parking lot, walk north to the second dirt road. The first dirt road runs along the north side of the red block walled utility area. The second dirt road is a short distance further north. Turn right. It will end at another dirt road. Turn left. At junctions, continue straight. Walk straight to a tall wood power/utility pole. From that pole, go at 172 degrees (from mag. north) for about 28 steps to a large Mesquite. From south side of that tree, go at 140 degrees for about 25 steps to a very small Palo Verde (it has green bark!). The box is under the tree under some rocks covered with twigs and plant debris. Please rehide the box well under the rocks covered with some twigs & plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.
