In 2006, it was estimated 20,180 new cases of ovarian cancer would be reported.
Donations made to organizations like the American Cancer society help fund research for detection, treatment and prevention of all forms of cancer. They also provide support services to cancer victims and their families.
This letterbox is planted in honor of all who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and those who love them.
Enter the Waubonsie Creek Trail at Waterford Drive near Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. This is a walking/biking path. After entering the trail, stride approximately 230 paces (to check your paces, at about 100 paces you will see a large rock on your left). At 230 paces, on the left side you will see 4 small and 2 medium trees growing together in a clump. Look within that cluster to find your treasure.
Please be as unobtrusive and respectful as you retrieve this letterbox. Please use a teal stamp pad if possible as green denotes ovarian cancer.
For more information about all forms of cancer visit the American Cancer Society web page at http//cancer.org
