In 2006, it was estimated 174,470 new cases of lung cancer would be reported.

Donations made to organizations like the American Cancer society help fund research for detection, treatment and prevention of all forms of cancer. They also provide support services to cancer victims and their families.

This letterbox is planted in honor of all who have been diagnosed with lung cancer, and those who love them.

Oakhurst Forrest Preserve is located on 5th Avenue between Farnsworth and Eola in Aurora, Illinois. Use the entrance across from the church.

Head east around Patterson Lake. Along the way, notice a small rock group hanging out by the lake. Next you will come to a small foot bridge. Cross the bridge and walk along a bit further before spotting a large rock group with a big front man. After this point leave the main path and take the first grassy trail you see. Walk along the curvy grass path until you come to a fork in the path. Go to the right.

You will see another small foot bridge, but do not cross it. Instead, bear left and continue along the creek. About 16 paces past the bridge you will see a small hill with a large hole in it—it is a foxhole. About 59 paces past the foxhole, you will notice a tree on the left with the base hollowed out. Go 41 more paces and you will see a large tree on the right side of the trail. On the SE side of this tree, at the base, you will find the letterbox.

Please be careful in retrieving and replacing the box, as muggles are known to frequent this location. Please use teal ink if possible as that color denotes lung cancer.
