This is a Hitch Hiker hostel.
It is located at the Mianus River Gorge Preserve. Trails are open 8:30-5:00, and they rest Dec-Mar 31. Enter the preserve and park in the parking lot. There is an info shelter where you can find maps. You will be making your way to the green trail, but begin on the blue.You will come to stairs on your left, but keep going.Once by the river you will pass the fording place...keep going.Then you will happen along the Safford Cascade. Continue on.You will come to a fork in the path. Turn right and walk 4 paces (8 steps). There will be a tree and rock on each side, you want the one on the left. The hostel is tucked between the tree and rock.
In the box you will find the "Catch a wave" stamp and hopefully at least two hitch hikers. Only take a HH if you leave one. You can continue on this trail to make your way back to the parking lot.
