The Flag of Lebanon.

This search for the stamps starts in a cemetary. On Dover Point Road, across from Bill Dube Ford / Toyota there is the cemetary, New St. Mary's Cemetary. Although it is not new, it was established in 1880.

Here is where your hunt begins. Look for the 2 very tall white hitch hikers and pass between them. I am not being disrespectful, but as a child I always thought that this was what they were doing!

At the fork in the road, take a left and another left. And then take your first right and you'll see White. Again take a right and park.

Now please look around, you'll see 2 of tree's that are the same, but of different height standing beside each other. The grave stone between them is my families. These trees are the Lebanon Green Cedar. This is the tree on the Lebanon Flag. Standing in the road (where you parked) Trying to be between the trees, turn around and look at the tree line that outlines the backof the cemetary. Now look to the left to find a small head stone with a metal cross to the left of it. The flag is in the pine behind it. Look on the back side of the tree.

This is the Flag of Lebanon, although I do not know a lot about my heratige, I know that Lebanon, is part of it.

The red stripes on the flag symbolize the blood shed in the aim of liberation. The white is peace. The green cedar symbolizes immortality and steadiness. This cedar is referenced manytimes in the Bible: " The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon" (Psalms 92:12)
