Rio, Faro & Puente
THIS BOX WAS LOST- WE PLAN TO REPLACE SOON.
Start at the A train on 181st St. and Fort Washington Avenue in upper Manhattan. Walk west towards the RIO Hudson. You’ll know you’re going the right way because you’ll see little red FAROS painted on the sidewalk as you go.
Look for the green bridge to the north of 181st St. when you come to the overlook. Cross the bridge and follow the trail south around the corner, down a steep hill, through a tunnel and to the foot of the PUENTE.
When you see the farito rojo on your right, walk to the third tree south of the farito. Walk three 7 year old paces from the tree back towards the farito rojo. Look down and find a large hollow root whose opening is covered with rocks. Here is the letterbox! Please replace rocks.
"Once a little lighthouse was built on a sharp point on the shore of the Hudson River. It was round, fat, red, jolly and PROUD."
