Degree of Difficulty – Easy.
Estimated Time – about 1 minute from the dirt road.
Terrain – Moderate Steepness and a few stairs
Notes - The road can be dusty... Don't forget your swimsuit!

CLUES: From the town of Colfax take I-80 West to the Canyon Way Exit. Go over the freeway and take a right onto Canyon Way. Travel South on Canyon Way approximatley 2 miles and take a left onto Yankee Jims Road. Head down Yankee Jims Road about 5 miles to the North Fork of the American River. At the bridge find some parking... hop out of your ride and find the east side of the bridge. From the bridge walk along Yankee Jims Road until you come to a set of steps on the downhill side. Go down the stairs to the first landing (approximatley 10 steps). Look to the right and find the large boulder. About 6' from the base of the large boulder look along the sidehill and you will find the box placedbehind some mossy rocks and underneath a medium sized boulder.

Once making the find enjoy the river and/or keep moving along Yankee Jims Road! About 1/2 mile up the road is beautiful Devil's Falls.
