This letter box is hidden in the Steamboat Island area of Olympia! There is no walking involved and should not be difficult for any age level or experience level.

In this box there is no ink pad, but there is a stamp, a pencil, and a log book. Happy hunting! :

Heading Northbound on I-5, get in right lane and take exit 104 onto US 101 (N. Aberdeen, Port Angeles)

Travel about 7.5 miles and merge right to continue onto
Hwy 101 toward Shelton (make sure you are in the far right lane, if you miss this exit, you find yourself on Hwy 8!)

Right up the road on your right hand side will be an exit marked "Steamboat Island". Take this exit.

Then turn left onto Sexton Dr. NW

Pass the "Island Market" and turn right onto Steamboat Island Rd. NW

Travel down scenic Steamboat Island Rd for about 8 miles.
You will pass 2 granges and 2 fire stations.

Finally, nearly at the end of Steamboat Island Road, there will be a brown wooden sign on your right that says "Carlyon Beach". Take a right at this sign onto Westwind Dr. NW. You are almost there!

Not too far up Westwind Dr. You will spot a little playground with a yellow slide and swings on your left. Turn and park next to this playground.

Have a seat on one of the swings, just for the sake of younger years.

Now, look on the ground around you...the swing set is surrounded by a layer of pebbles in the shape of a big square. It is a square made out of wood.

See the corner of this big wooden square that points right into a dark green bush?...This is the corner that points right to the item you seek!
