I Love Buckeyes
We head to Metamora many weekends just to get our drug of choice, handmade buckeyes. We’ve tried them all and our favorites are at Mr. Fudge’s Confectionary on the south side of the canal next door to the "hotel." There’s a curved brick walk and a little bench between the buildings. We sat on the eastern most edge of the bench and reached around to the back between the bench and the wall. There are a bunch of rocks under the bench so you can’t get to it from the front, but if you know where to look, you can see the box in the back under the bench behind the big rock. If you’ve got children with you, I doubt if anyone would give a second look to a kid looking under a bench. It’s in a camo bag, be careful when putting it back to make sure it’s not overly exposed.
