Checked 10/6/09 to find that it's missing!

The next installment in the PATH series. See Psych-PATH and Socio-PATH.

Once we lay in quiet
Above the pond serene
We heard the birds and animals
The wind though trees of green.

Below us ran a thouroughfare
'Twas busy in its day
With buggies, carts and horsemen
Going on their way.

But like the leaves of autumn,
Those times have passed away.
Our solitude is broken
But 'tis here that we must stay.

What had been a busy road
Is busier now by far.
But even it has been eclipsed
By larger roads and cars.

Should we yet still have our eyes
A mamouth road we'd see.
Noisy traffic whizzing by
Within a large oak's height of me.

Near had once been a quiet place
Another giant roadways wends
Heading northward with many lanes
The peaceful sounds it rends.

Quite nearby building and a sign
To sell a planet! We bewail
Who would buy it, this I ask?
And who could put it up for sale?

Walk among us, read our names.
Find obelisks that stand so tall.
There, between them, quietly stand
To find a box in the western wall
