Status: alive (11/2/07) MISSING 3/08 BUMMER
Stamp: F-16 aircraft - store bought

This box is not located on the Air Force base. It's approximately 3.5 miles East of the base and is at the intersection of 7th Street and US 60/84. There is a park on the North side of 60/84 and this is the most Western part of the town of Clovis. It's almost a mile East of Martin Luther King Blvd. The mile marker just West of this park is Mile Marker 385. Veteran's Park has an actual F1-11 Airplane (on a stick) and a Tank. The tank is called a Duster and is a anti aircraft gun system and was placed there on 11-11-1998. Take the time to see the veteran's wall located just next to the airplane. You will need to park on the side street East of this park (R.L. Moreno Street) or at the abandoned gas station East of this park.

Instruction: After you are at the park, climb up and into the tank. Sit in the seat to the North or the furthest seat to the right. There is a hole or an open compartment and you need to reach in and to the right. The box is wood as I don't think it gets wet in this area. Please let me know if you do find that it's getting wet or damaged. Everything is doubled bagged and the stamp is of a F-16 aircraft.

History: Cannon AFB is currently an operational base and has F-16s based there. This is the reason for a F-16 stamp. The mission of the base is going to change in October 2007 to a Special Operations base and I may change the stamp to the type of Aircraft flying after the change. So, make sure to check back for an update on the stamp. You can go to http://www.cannon.af.mil/ for more information about Cannon AFB Enjoy!!!!! - kevareng

10/1/7 Cannon AFB has changed to Special operations base and the F16s are almost all gone.

NOTE: Always take adequate precautions (such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves) before reaching into dark crevasses and holes in the wild. Before you set out read the waiver of responsibility and disclaimer.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL. IT'S EASY TO GET UP ON THE TANK AND A LITTLE MORE INTERESTING GETTING DOWN. I'M NOT A YOUNG CHICKEN AND HAD NO PROBLEMS. LOL
