Park at the "measurement around a shape or figure" Institute. Walk to the water. See a sign "Joseph Seagram & Distillery". Turn left & walk on gravel path to next sign "Recreation in Waterloo". Veer right to walk over footbridge, towards red roof pergola 'Trans Canada Trail'. Continue on gravel path to sign "Early Industry in Waterloo" at Canada Flagpost. Walk over rusted arch bridge, continuing clockwise around lake. Pass deer cage as you go uphill towards historical log building. Behind this feature is an ugly utility building. There is a poured concrete staircase w/ black iron railing on right side. There is a hole between the steps & the building, accessible from right side. If you stand back, you can see where you will have to reach. Be so discreet esp. in summer months.
There are many more points of interest in this area. Bring a picnic lunch & bathing suit for a fun time.
