***Update 9/23/2012*** This box has been reported MISSING. I will check on it next time I am in Platteville. Check out my other boxes in Wisconsin placed by In Cahoots and/or Drunken Wench!

This letterbox is hidden in Mound View Park in Platteville, WI, located at the corner of E Madison St and Broadway St (Hwy 80).

Enter the park from Madison St and park in the parking lot west of the play area.

From the pavilion, take the bike trail to the right. Follow it to a T, then go left.

Stay on the bike path. Pass the red bench on your left and continue on among the trees. When you see the mine straight ahead, leave the paved path and take a grass trail to the right. Turn right on the trail and follow the rail fence downhill. You will cross a drainage ditch made of gravel and rocks.

Go around the tall grass to the right. Keep the picnic table on your left. Follow the trail along the Rountree Branch River and stay on the trail as it curves to the right.

You will come to a Y that leads toward the road on the left. Follow the trail away from the road to the right. 23 paces up the hill, you will see a medium sized tree, and the trail splits again. From this tree, take the trail on the right 28 paces into the pines. On your right you will see a tree with 2 trunks, and just beyond it a fallen log. The Easter Egg is hidden beneath the log behind a rock.

When you return to your car, you will be able to see Platteville's Big M. If you are feeling adventurous, take Broadway St out of town and just keep going in that direction -- Dial M for Letterbox, also planted by In Cahoots, awaits you there!
