** THIS BOX IS MISSING AND WILL NOT BE REPLACED **

We’ve taken our two year old to a few parks around San Antonio, and this is one of his favorites. Although he loves the playground, that is not the main reason he enjoys this park. The stamp in this box represents something he frequently sees from the park that makes him jump and scream for joy.

Lou Kardon Park is located at 6161 Gibbs Sprawl Rd. To get to Lou Kardon Park, Take I-35 to Rittiman Road. Travel East on Rittiman for 1.9 miles, then stay to the left as it becomes Gibbs-Sprawl. Continue on Gibbs-Sprawl for 0.4 miles and the park will be on your left.

Stand on the path under the five arches at the park entrance facing the park. Take 53 steps from the arches to the picnic table directly in front of you. There is a line of trees to your left that runs along the side of a gravel path. Walk 54 steps along this tree line, towards the back of the park and a cluster of trees with a basket-ball sized rock in front of them. You will have crossed the gravel path in the last couple of steps to get to these trees. Walk around the back of the trees to retrieve the letterbox. The letterbox is at the base of these trees covered with rocks and sticks. Please cover and re-hide well. Let me know if you find it and how it is doing.
