As of June: The Spring Pond has sprouted lots of green grass. Look for a grassy patch close to a stone wall. This is considered a vernal pond and the sounds also could be from the frogs/spring peepers.

Across the street from the Knowlton Family Cemetery box. Park in front of post/rail fence. Make sure your car is off of the road. The road can be quite busy at times. The pond is also very active. The spring, brings frogs laying eggs and young birds singing, quite loud depending on the time of day. If you arrive later in the day (after 4 or 5 pm)the birds are unbelievably loud. If you approach this pond after visiting the cemetery they seem to quiet down to just a few chirps, while you are standing there. If you visit during the day it is business as usual. Late in the day is really unusual. They must be watching. The frog is carved by my daughter. I carved the bird.
To the letterbox: From the telephone poll that is covered with "posted" signs, count 10 spaces. Under some loose stones on the wall is the box. Please be careful, the large stone may teeter off of the edge if you lift it. Re-hide well.
