sorry roslyn lake is closed due to the draining of the lake. we will relocate these boxes soon!!! thanks

Roslyn Lake is a great place to fish, picnic or just enjoy the wild life. Take Hwy 26 to Sandy. At Ten Eyke go south and follow the signs to Roslyn Lake. You’ll go about 3 miles past Thomas Rd and the sign for Roslyn Lake. After you cross over the water flowing to the Lake you’ll see a gravel parking area on the left. Pull in there and park. Please try to be discreet for this park gets quite a lot of visitors.

From the parking lot walk west to the lake. Pass a crooked tree till just before the Lake. Look up and you should see a cable hooked to a tree leading across the lake. At the base of the tree lies Fishing fun.

Now turn around and head towards Ten Eyke. Go south down the paved path along the guard rail over the water to where the path splits off to the right. Follow the path to the left over the bridge and go right. Pass the garbage cans you’ll find a grove of rocks with one huge moss covered rock. To the left of the huge rock and two rocks from a small tree lies a frog on a rock.

Keep going to the wheel chair sign and go right past the horse shoe pits. Keep an eye out for a large stump. Here hides the mighty eagle. If you’re lucky you may see the real one flying high above.

You should be able to see the picnic tables. This is a great place to have your picnic and watch the geese. When you’re done head past the boat dock and snack shack on the west side of the park to the log cabin used in the movie Bandits. On the back side of the cabin is a wood deck under the bottom step on the left side is a lady bug waiting to hatch.

Head away from the Lake to the paved road and go south ignoring the one way sign. Watch for cars when the Lake is open. Follow the road till you see a dirt path to the right. Take the path to a game trail on right. Go under then over to the nine headed green monster. At its base in the hole is a beautiful elk. Shhhh you don’t want to scare him away!

You will now go back the way you came to the road and go right. When you see the wood fence follow the road to the left soon you’ll see a very busy nurse with many patients. About half way down on its top is a hole. Here you’ll find a cute little inch worm enjoying his mushroom.

Now keep following the road and soon you’ll see a parking lot on the right. Go past the garbage cans. This will look familiar. Do you feel like your going in a big circle? You should. Go back over the bridge to the path that goes left next to the lake. At the start of this path is a rock. Count 23 Munky steps to a tree. In the crotch of the tree lies a wild flower waiting to be discovered. Congratulations your journey is complete. You will be able to see the parking lot from were you are. We hope you got to see all the wonderful wild life this lake has to offer. We love it here!
