This box is placed in the Red Rock Canyon State Park in honor of the "Festival of the Arts" held in OKC every year in April.

I've received a report that the trail has changed. We'll check on it when we can.

Find your way to the top of the canyon rim. There's a ladder to climb up just past the group camp.

Climb up the ladder to the canyon rim. Hike close to the canyon rim until you’ve reached a large red stone dome. From here you are the end of the section of the canyon which holds the “group camp.”
Stand at the highest point of this dome. Find a compass heading of 150 degrees. Here you will see a “ladder” of tree roots. Follow this trail. At the top you will see a yellow ribbon tied on a tree on the left. Find a compass heading of 180 degrees. You will see a washed out area. Follow this up to the top.
Find a compass heading of 190 degrees and look through the trees. Near the ground you’ll see a “mushroom” on the side of an old cedar. Move to there. At the “mushroom” find 240 degrees. Look for a huge cedar with limbs hugging the ground. As you walk to this cedar notice the needles on the ground. They’re many inches deep from years of falling.
Look for the box on the west side of the cedar tree hanging near the trunk.

Please rehide this as best you can. Enjoy the park. This is one of our favorite places for a couple days away.
