2010: I am told that the stamp is still there, but that the logbook has been destroyed by water.

Difficulty: Kid friendly.

Thanks to Stacy "Evilmommy" (who's not evil at all!), there is now a new logbook and the box has been maintained.

Taskinas Creek flows through York River State Park off of Interstate 64 in between Richmond and Williamsburg, Virginia. From Interstate 64, take the Croaker exit #231B. Go north on State Route 605 for one mile. Take State Route 606 for 1.5. miles to the park entrance. Pay the nominal park fee and proceed to the Visitor's Center where you'll find a trail map. Take the scenic Taskinas Creek Trail, a counter-clockwise loop of about 1.6 miles. After you pass four scenic overlooks, you'll cross a long bridge spanning a marshy area. At the second bench from this bridge, take a seat and catch your breath from the little hill you just ascended. From the west end of this bench, at a bearing of 290ยบ take about 13 - 15 steps to a medium size, double-trunk tree surrounded by low brush. Under leaves and sticks, you'll find the Taskinas Creek Letterbox.
